Many newspapers no longer allow their employees to vote on baseball awards. This process obviously needs to be accelerated. Managers should cast the vote. Don't you think Ozzie Guillen's
or JP Ricciardi's knowledge of Mariano Rivera might be a little more unbiased & maybe even accurate than the above listed individuals? Assuming you care about accuracy.

Ozzie Guillen unbiased? Ask Travis Hafner what he thinks about that.
Maybe he's unbiased about Rivera...

Agreed--I don't single Ozzie out to be
a poster boy for flawless character or
even someone I could work for. My main
purpose is to expose the names of the
voters & their ballots, have the current voting system scrapped & have the vote done by managers. I've been
researching 1 of the 6 voters I mentioned in my post, Matt Hurst, & from what I find, he was unqualified to vote on that award. In cases like this, Guillen or any AL manager is much more qualified to vote.

Also, all the headlines mentioned Guillen had chosen K. Rogers to start the All Star game. None mentioned he'd
named Mariano as the closer. My point is the constant brush-off of Rivera by
the mass media. If Guillen had named
any other closer, it would've made
headlines. I want all players to get the recognition they deserve, but this
particular case is the biggest & worst. It takes time to do this, but it's almost a crime in my opinion.
