Dibs, you made an error about Pavano

Dibs, in taking a moment off from campaigning for your personal pal in the west coast pitchers park, you said the other day (almost verbatim):

• The Yankees RAN OUT & GOT CARL PAVANO TRYING TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS. IT DIDN'T WORK OUT SO THIS SHOULD BE A LESSON NOT TO DO THINGS THE WAY THE YANKEES DID THEM.

Correction--the Yankees didn't "run out and get Carl Pavano." This is the problem expecting a guy who has other jobs to know all about 30 different teams. It's not possible. Dibs is a great radio personality, great as a former player, & there are plenty of things the Yankees haven't done right. But, this is not what happened with Pavano.

• Every team, including those with revenue sharing from the pocket of the Yankee fan, was dying for Carl Pavano, pined for him. He had dinner at Curt Schilling's house. Carl chose the Yankees, said his mind was made up by a conversation with Joe Torre.
• The Yankees didn't run out & get this pathetic person Pavano. They waited their turn for Pavano on his extended tour with his agent, & reportedly didn't even offer him the most money.
