RICH AURILIA & CINCINNATI REDS BEAT MIDNIGHT DEADLINE--REACH DEAL

The Cincinnati Reds have reached a 1 year $1.3 million deal with 2nd baseman Rich Aurilia, about 3 hours before the 12 midnight EST deadline. The team would then have lost rights to negotiate with him until May.The deal includes a mutual option for 2007. Other players looking at the deadline tonight include Jeff Weaver, Alex Gonzalez, and Pedro Astacio.
