As Scott Boras has said, Alex will speak with league and association
representatives next week. However, Klapisch reports Alex already said he wasn't playing, and will say so again. Gene Orza may continue to make veiled threats, as he
did when Hideki Matsui politely bowed out (referenced in this article). Others in the
hate business, or those unwilling to do some real investigation, will put out a knee-
jerk reaction, about how ugly the Yankees players are, or something equally insightful.
Note to all bullies in the world: quit while you're ahead.
