MARLINS TO LEAVE FLORIDA--Howard David, WQAM

Howard David of WQAM is on XM radio now regarding today's press conference to announce the Marlins' leaving Florida. David says JEFFREY LORIA WAS NOT AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE, supposedly traveling in Europe. David asks, why wasn't the owner at this press conference? There is no excuse for sending an assistant to an occasion this serious. David Samson attended in Loria's place, and read Loria's statement, saying that MLB has agreed to allow the Marlins to move. Howard David says the city of Portland, Oregon placed a call to the Marlins expressing interest. The whole thing stinks, is close to criminal, yet these guys keep skating. There should be a law that Miami, Florida must have a domed baseball stadium. The loss to fans and potential fans is enormous.
