Ian Browne of RedSox.com on XM MLB
Ian Browne of RedSox.com joins Holden Kushner
on XM MLB to discuss the reported trade of
Josh Beckett from the Marlins to the Red Sox.
Ian addresses the issue of pitchers moving from
the National league to the American league. His
opinion is that any downside exists more for
"finesse" pitchers than power pitchers. He only
cites 1 example for this. I think getting Beckett
is a great move for the Red Sox, and he'll
probably do a great job. I disagree with Ian
that it's so easy for pitchers to move from the
NL to the AL. Ian says he thinks Papelbon could
end up being the closer for the Red Sox. Yet another
XM/Red Sox guy, Steve Lenox will be joining in.
