Dave Lennon of NY Newsday discusses the ridiculous wining and dining that goes on for free agents, and presently for Billy Wagner by the Mets. WFAN radio mentions that the Mets held a press conference at Shea Stadium this morning, just to give an update for reporters. Too many people had been following Wagner around, stalking him at his hotel, etc., & they wanted to cool people down. Wagner spoke to reporters separately, answering questions generally. Nothing new.
