Overheard on Red Sox radio--Dave & Joe call out media creation

Dave O'Brien says the whole idea of a closer starting the All Star game was "a media creation, apparently a columnist started" the idea.

• Joe Castiglione responds quietly, "I don't know how they become stories that are discussed."

(I hope neither Dave nor Joe is fired for telling the truth. The idea was a terrible one. It's unfortunate that peoples' lives are so empty they seek jobs for the purpose of creating or promoting stories like this). sm
