PAUL BYRD NOT CALLED BEFORE CONGRESS--NY Times

The NY Times cites 3 current or former Yankees being called to congress, references the "steroid era," which Andy Pettitte was not involved in. I've said for quite some time the Yankees are out of touch with media and their public image and this heinous act is further proof. Media hysteria, some of which I've documented here, has won.
  • Where is Paul Byrd, who would not deny injecting HGH up to and including his post season performances in 2007? This is not about steroids. It's about little George Mitchell. This is a crime of the highest order and would not have happened if the Yankees had done anything to stop the 24/7 hysterical slander, lies and libel about their players. It obviously has taken on a life of its own.
Nice people, baseball owners. They're the ones who did this. P.S. The New York Times is also a part owner of the Red Sox. Isn't everybody? (This is exactly what Mike Lupica, ESPN employee, called for as well.)
  • ***The spin about Paul Byrd also noted on this blog was heard by me on a news update on XM (business partner of ESPN and MLB) awhile back. They said Byrd 'had made his views known' on drugs before the Mitchell Report. Can you beat that? Yankee fans don't have a clue how serious these people are--and for what? What do they want except attention for themselves?
