Post Season Stats missing in Goose caption on MLB.com
MLB.com invites the reader to use only regular season stats in judging a player for the Hall of Fame in their article today about Goose Gossage. Post season stats should of course be included with--in the same sentence, not randomly sometime later in the article--career totals or should be included in a single figure of "lifetime" totals. Why would MLB.com deprive Gossage of his post season record?
- This kind of characterization happens often, meaning no one has chosen to correct the error. Why wouldn't a "Guardian of the Game" or "Conscience of the Game" do so?
- "Pitcher Rich Gossage registered 124 wins and 310 saves in 22 Major League seasons. (MLB.com)"
8 Postseason Ser 5-3 19 0 2.87 2 1 8 0 31.1
- So Gossage actually has 129 Wins and 318 saves. Will MLB.com give
Gossage the credit he deserves?

- Be the Year for Gossage," 1/4/08
