Steve Henson, another baseball genius on XM

On Baseball Beat on XM Wednesday, Steve Henson from Yahoo Sports showed he has a great future. The truth is, these baseball geniuses are expected to know too much. There are 30 teams. The average person can't be expected to know everything about every team. Second, Steve Henson is a human being and has opinions--which he may view as facts. On whether the Yankees should give the Twins half a young team for the next 10 years then pay a pitcher with lots of miles on him, Santana, $150 million, Henson says approximately:
  • They've (the Yankees) got the money to replace the pieces. They won't even miss them (the guys they trade).
Chuck Wilson doesn't dispute this. Steve Henson may not be at Yahoo Sports very long. He could be looking at big bucks from ESPN very soon. It would've been nice if Wilson had asked Henson to cite his source for information about the Yankees financial condition. It doesn't agree with what I've read.
  • P.S. Steve, why don't you give 5 or 6 young crown jewels from your favorite team if that's how you feel about it?
