NY Daily News sells lie about Andy Pettitte and calls it a "poll"

The NY Daily News prints a lie about Andy Pettitte in the form of a so-called "poll:"

  • Andy Pettitte was never accused of using steroids or even thinking about using them. Which is obvious to anyone not living in the sewer of the NY Daily News. Why is this publication still in business? From today's NY Daily News website is this statement and "poll":

"Poll

Pettitte admits steroid use

Based on his statements, are you willing to forgive Andy Pettitte for his steroid use?

From NY Daily News website, 12/16/07; on right side of page below video screen.
  • Self appointed so-called 'journalists' from the NY Daily News are welcomed everyday into the priceless environment of the Yankee radio booth. This arrangement should be terminated immediately--not that it was at all helpful to the fan before garbage like this 'poll.' (sm)

  • Once again, Ms. Mullen, you prove your own lack of knowledge. Do you really believe the reporters, the ones that go into the radio booth, post those polls on the web site? One has little to do with the other, yet you clump us all together. Sad.

  • One has everything to do with the other. To the consumer, the reporters are the Daily News and vice versa. In this case, a reporter's presence at a game, radio booth, or press conference is only because he's employed at the Daily News-- which is conveyed as a source of journalistic excellence. Aside from other issues, my first comment would've been to ask why they printed Andy took steroids-since he never did so.
