Strip Billy Beane of 'Moneyball' title? Media must be fair....

Using identical standards "media" has applied in broad strokes against the Yankees around the clock, Billy Beane's advantage of Miguel Tejada from 1998-2003 and Jason Giambi from 1996 through 2001 creates doubt about his "era." Of course he had Jeremy Giambi for about 2 and a half seasons, too. There were undoubtedly more "names," but the investigation failed to report on them.
  • If you want to talk about stripping titles, stats, and division championships, you must strip Oakland and Billy Beane, according to "media" standards suggested for years of Yankee achievements. Not from what Mitchell reported around the world, but because "you never know"--that's their reasoning, as I've noted here on prior posts.
(P.S. "Jury Selection" is all important in labeling guilt or innocence. Here, the "jury" was selected by Allan H. "Bud" Selig. In Boston media that "selection" has been easily questioned, as 100% of the jury members were a director of the Red Sox. But if you're anyone else, you're told you can't say that, it's sour grapes. If enough people repeat a lie often enough it's seen as reality. I'd rather have actual reality). sm
