MICHAEL KAY DEFENDS IMUS & RECEIVES THREATENING E-MAIL--ESPN 1050 NYC

On his radio show 1050AM in New York City, Michael Kay just said he received a threatening e-mail saying in effect,
  • "IF YOU DON'T STOP DEFENDING IMUS, WE'LL DO THE SAME THING TO YOU THAT WE DID TO HIM."

  • Kay didn't receive a threatening email, Kay received and email saying that Imus was removed by powerful people and it wsa hurting him career wise to speak up against Imus and they same people who forced Imus could also force out any other person who sided with Imus. He turned it around to look like he was threatened because many of his fans came out against him on the Imus issue. He owes the fan an apology but he's too narrow-minded to give it to the person.

  • I think you're agreeing Kay received a threatening email, warning him about possible consequences (having him forced out of his job, 'hurting his career' etc.) by continuing to support Imus. I don't know if you saw the email personally yourself. Nor do I know who might be the 'powerful people' to whom you refer. So far, in any case, it remains you agree Kay received a threatening email.
