How pathetic the ESPN reporter shows himself to be. There's absolutely no connection between the Japanese pitcher's process and that of signing Johnny Damon UNLESS YOU'RE A DEMENTED BLEEDING HEART RED SOX FAN FOR WHOM A DAY DOESN'T PASS THAT YOU DON'T MOURN THE LOSS OF DAMON. Apparently included in this category is MLB, Inc. (No secret to anyone who isn't demented).

• Damon was in the same process every other American player is in. Get the reporter to a retirement home somewhere. As in any field, bias must be addressed.
