Bleeding heart ESPN reporter wins big, shows bottom line

"By merely winning the bidding the Red Sox would block the Yankees from acquiring Matsuzaka.
  • "By signing him, they would gain the same kind of advantage the Yankees gained when they signed Johnny Damon away from Boston."
How pathetic the ESPN reporter shows himself to be. There's absolutely no connection between the Japanese pitcher's process and that of signing Johnny Damon UNLESS YOU'RE A DEMENTED BLEEDING HEART RED SOX FAN FOR WHOM A DAY DOESN'T PASS THAT YOU DON'T MOURN THE LOSS OF DAMON. Apparently included in this category is MLB, Inc. (No secret to anyone who isn't demented).

  • As a Red Sox fan, I'm actually glad this was a blind auction instead of a free agent situation.

The Red Sox have had a hard time winning bidding wars against both NY teams in recent years. (Damon & Pedro)
