More Hoffman spam found on ESPN--on Mariano's ESPN Player Card

ESPN does nothing but hype Hoffman, but he's got them worried he might still feel 'slighted' by supposed attention Rivera gets (none), so they invade Mo's player page with MORE HOFFMAN SPAM... September 25, 2006
"He doesn't feel slighted because of the attention level he's receiving and just feels honored to have set the career saves record. Trevor has a lot of respect for Mariano Rivera because of the consistent job he's done playing in a place as tough as NY."
  • WHAT A SALESMAN!!! ESPN HAS DEVOTED ITS WEBSITE, ITS EMPLOYEES, NATIONAL TV COVERAGE TO PUMPING UP AWARDS VOTING FOR THIS JALOPY, BUT NOTHING IS EVER ENOUGH FOR THIS FRINGE PITCHER. WHAT "ATTENTION LEVEL" HAVE THEY GIVEN RIVERA? NONE. NOW THEY EVEN HAVE TO PUT SMARMY COMMENTS ON MARIANO'S PAGE--MO CAN'T EVEN HAVE HIS OWN LOUSY PAGE WITH THIS HOFFMAN SPAM CAMPAIGN.
(Differences of opinion do not equal hate, but they take a bit more time. Many feel it's easier to dispose of someone by labeling them the 'h' word).

  • Hoffman a "fringe pitcher?" Thanks, I needed the laugh.

  • I understand he has loyal fans and even more loyal media exponents. He has a place in the game and a noteworthy one. But much of what is seen as his place in the game today is the result of relentless media barage and manipulation, rather than his actual ability and performance. I've studied the situation at length and would be happy to discuss it in further detail with you if you'd like.
