Why Bruce Sutter missed his only chance to play in Yankee Stadium:

One year, the All Star game was scheduled at Yankee Stadium. Sutter had been voted to the All Star team that year, & was psyched---he'd never pitched in Yankee Stadium in his life. Shortly before the game was to happen, Sutter injured his arm, & never got to pitch there then or ever. (Heard today on Mike & the Mad Dog on WFAN).
