Richard Justice, Houston Chronicle on Jeff Bagwell situation

Justice says Bagwell is in the clubhouse every day working out, wants very badly to play. However, the Astros want him to back off, say he's physically incapable of playing. Why? There's $15.6 million at stake in insurance money, which must be filed for by January 31st or lost. That's the insurance policy the Astros have on Bagwell, & the compensation they'll receive if he can't play. Re: Clemens, Justice says he still has a locker in the clubhouse, but thinks Clemens realizes he has physical limitations.
