Chris DeLuca, Chicago Sun Times on why Cubs fans feel the way they do

Chris says fans are happy about Juan Pierre, but were hoping for another star addition when the Furcal deal didn't work out. Many thought Miguel Tejada would be the next acquisition, but that now seems a dead issue. The recent Cubs fan fest showed some impatience toward Dusty Baker, Chris says, but even more at Jim Hendry. They know the owners have money, it's a $100 million payroll, & they didn't expect it to end with Jacques Jones. Also, overall view is that the team didn't execute fundamentals in 2005, poor baserunning, missing signs, etc. Even with injuries the team sustained, some felt remaining players gave up.
