We wait

"There are no new developments with either Andy Pettitte or the possible Melky Cabrera-for-Mike Cameron trade. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman visited Pettitte Thursday, and a team official said:

• "They just had a good meeting and (Pettitte's) thinking about things."

The Yankees have been otherwise occupied with the pursuit of Burnett..."....

• I suppose it was logical to wait and hear that the Yankees were offering AJ Burnett $82.5 million.

Update, 9:30pm: Burnett is telling people he's going to the Yankees: "Burnett's decision had been made in part because of geography. Burnett's wife does not fly, and New York is much closer to the family's Maryland home than Atlanta is."
