There is no reason for the Yankees to play these games or for advertisers to pay for them

Especially in the last 2 games v the Royals, opportunities to advance runners or score without getting a hit--say a bunt or a fly ball-- have not been approached as such. The lineups have been treated more casually than a spring training game. Yet they charge fans and advertisers money and put all the pitchers in situations like it was the 7th game of the World Series. Add to that the shrill P.C. Richards whistle throughout the stadium, so loud that it intrudes on the radio broadcast, and you have a good excuse never to buy another ticket to Yankee Stadium.
