Thursday 8/28/08 was actually the

• 783rd

played between the Yankees and Red Sox at Yankee Stadium, not 773rd.

• A chart (below) from the NY Times citing Stats, LLC. showed totals before the final 3 games "including

• 6-4 in the playoffs,"

(chart titled, "Friendly Confines") as 489-287-4, for a total of 780 games. After the 3 games this week, the grand total is 783 games. Not 773 games.
