MLB to spend $65 million to promote post season, $15m more than 2007
(NY Times, 8/27): "Baseball’s playoff advertising push gets under way Thursday, when the first spots of a $65 million campaign — the league’s largest ever — are broadcast. (Last year’s campaign had a value of about $50 million). M.L.B. began collaborating with Fox in 2003 with its “I Live for This” campaign; before that, the networks produced their own spots."...
- No word if games will be aired at times likely to attract the most viewers. Footage has already been shot of post season contenders such as Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard.
- Nowhere in the article does it mention any footage being shot of any NY Yankee, which is good.
