Who would be happiest to read Jon Heyman's words?

In the opening paragraph of his opinion on the Radomski/Mitchell Report today Heyman says: Did Heyman do a cost-benefit analysis if $20 million+ was a good price for a xerox copy of work actually done by a different group of people? IE, By federal officials on 2 guys named Radomski and McNamee who happened to work with guys from New York clubhouses? Of course those most pleased about Heyman's remarks and expected nothing less are Allan H. "Bud" Selig, Mitchell, and numerous other high powered types.
  • There's at least one conflicting piece of information in Heyman's 'ode to Bud Selig in hopes of furthering his own career,' which is the ridicule of David Justice. I've posted on this blog that the NY Times said Justice did meet with the Mitchell people once. They wanted to see him a second time which is the meeting that didn't take place. Nothing new from Heyman-his report a virtual xerox of the 24/7 hysterical, often misleading and completely false rantings about the Yankees and this farce of a "report."
  • No mention that most of the country was left out of the "report"--no one else had spilled to the feds, I guess. Even the average person--ie NY Times columnists--knows there was little original work done by Mitchell.
It was a dramatically displayed lynching of a select few. Who's #1 on Heyman's list of losers? Who else--the name that elevates Heyman the most--Andy Pettitte. Reference article on SI.com by Jon Heyman, "Clemens, Yankees Biggest Mitchell Losers," 12/19/07

  • Money well spent? Money better spent, they could have given me 20 million and I would have sparred MLB the self inflicted gun shot wound.

I agree with what The Yankees' Republic wrote today

  • Would've been much better spent, James. I'm going to check out the other blog you mention. Any port in a storm.
