This is Spinal Tap, Dan Shulman, ESPN

Dan Shulman broadcasting today on ESPN radio, Mets-Phillies. He remarks to Dave Campbell that JJ Putz is a really top closer "you don't hear about so much" (because he's on the west coast). My hand to God. ESPN employees (most in baseball media are connected with ESPN) are in charge of virtually all that is known or believed about baseball players. Shulman,
  • WHOM ARE YOU BLAMING FOR THIS ALLEGED BIAS? YOU'RE IN CHARGE OF VIRTUALLY ALL INFORMATION. I've heard plenty about Putz for a long time. Shulman, in his role, shows how complete the propaganda is--
ESPN and Dan Shulman have the microphone. I understand job 1 is to build more hatred, envy and distortion about the Yankees.
  • But Dan, you're in charge. Are you saying that YOU dis JJ Putz? Who if anyone is doing all the dissing, if not you?
Shulman and Dave Campbell mentioned Bonds' name about every 5 seconds for no reason. Why not check out some slight "over-coverage" in that area?
  • ***Incidentally: "ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” has received the rights to broadcast each MLB team as many as five times in 2007. Last season, no team could make more than four appearances on Sunday night." (from AmericanSportscastersOnline.com, 6/23/07).
Take it up with your employer, Dan.
