QUIT CALLING HIM "PACMAN"--HE'S NO KIDDY VIDEO GAME

The sports media deliberately chose the sympathetic term for the scourge Adam "Pacman" Jones, dropping his given name and going with the endearing "Pacman" alone. The Jockreport's huge headline just uses the fun kiddy name "Pacman," the lead sentences on ESPN and FoxSports also stick with the adorable "Pacman." 10 run-ins with police. Jockreport, why aren't you taking out the guy's parents or whomever was in charge of raising him? Their bad job has caused misery for many. The NY Times thought about it. At about 9:15 tonight they had a headline saying "Adam 'Pacman' Jones..." But I just checked again and they removed that headline and changed his name in the opening sentence to just "Pacman." This was a clear editorial decision-sorry. I guess those in power have never been victims of vicious criminal behavior or seen what happens to children raised in a criminal environment. I thought the media is supposed to know everything. UPDATE: Saturday, 4/14/07, I notice Jockreport.com has put up a more suitable headline: "Adam "Poster Boy" Jones will appeal 2007 suspension." Much better.
