Clay Davenport, Steven Goldman, & Christina Kahrl discuss new measurements in their new
book such as adding rbi's, runs scored, wins & saves--info that fantasy types would
like. Other interesting stuff like attrition rates--eg if Eric Gagne's rate is 12%, it has been calculated on how players similar to him have fared (or not). Clay did a
lot of work on both major & minor league park factors, as well as those in Japan. One
item Christina noted about why Ryan Church was sent down. She said he spent too much time
trying to persuade people on the team about the merits of evangelical Christianity. Too
bad if he did this to excess, as the Nats could've used him. Their book is Baseball Prospectus 2006.
