Leiter could be a LOOGY for Yanks----close to deal

Al Leiter is close to signing a minor league deal with invitation to spring training to compete for a lefty spot late in games, reports Joel Sherman in the NY Post. If Leiter and the team decide his talents lie elsewhere, he might end up in the broadcast booth instead, as Joe Girardi did.
