D.C. CITY COUNCIL TO MEET SPECIAL NEGOTIATOR TODAY

CONTACTED BY AN OUTSPOKEN OPPONENT OF THE NEW STADIUM, THE NEGOTIATOR COMES FROM A CHICAGO FIRM SPECIALIZING IN STADIUM DEALS. THE FIRM'S CHAIRMAN IS FORMER MAINE SENATOR GEORGE MITCHELL WHO SERVED ON A "BLUE RIBBON" PANEL TO ASSESS MLB'S ECONOMIC WOES IN 2000. The tax-payers of DC are now scheduled to pay an endless amount of money for a new stadium. I guess the old buddy system will go to work on this mess.
