 1/11/13, "The Yankees have added one game to their exhibition schedule. They announced plans to play the Nationals in Washington, D.C., on March 29, one day after their final spring training game and three days before their season opener....

-LHP CC Sabathia made the rounds at ESPN, doing a series of television and radio interviews to promote the video game "MLB The Show." Radio host Colin Cowherd noticed that Sabathia looked slimmer than usual. "I've lost 20 pounds," Sabathia said. "Coming off the elbow surgery, I just wanted to be healthy and stay healthy all year."

 --C Francisco Cervelli suffered a mild whiplash injury while playing winter ball in Venezuela. He was brought to Florida for tests but ultimately sent back to finish the season. "It was just a case of us being overly cautious," general manager Brian Cashman told ESPN New York....
