KCSP radio hoping Royals will bring star power
"The first instinct many people in Kansas City radio had when Entercom-owned KCSP let go Rhonda Moss and Marty Wall was that KCSP was finally throwing up the white flag.
- KCSP has never made a significant or lasting run at rival WHB since KCSP launched its all-sports format in 2003. Discarding Moss and Wall, perhaps its two most recognizable names, seemed to send out the surrender signal.
But a source close to the situation told me recently that KCSP wasn't giving up, that it still believed that,
- armed with the Royals radio rights, it could still get back in the game at some point.
- KCSP is hoping that the Royals continue to improve and recapture the town's interest
while KC fans grapple with their feelings toward the Chiefs' rebuilding process."...
