More newspapers put AP on notice

(Editor & Publisher): Tribune Company provides required 2 year notice to drop AP service.

• In terms of AP's baseball news, in many cases it serves as an arm of MLB. They may view themselves as independent, but they aren't about to take on MLB from what I've observed. Neither is anyone else of consequence- since the passing of Doug Pappas.
