World Series Game 6 to start later to accomodate politician's infomercial

  • Per the Hollywood Reporter, MLB has given its 'blessing' to move World Series Game 6 (if needed) to a later time to allow an infomercial to air for the Democrat presidential candidate:
"To accommodate a half-hour (Barack) Obama time buy on Fox on Oct. 29, Major League Baseball has agreed to move the start time of World Series Game 6 by about 15 minutes. That would move the time from 8:20 p.m. or so ET to 8:35 p.m.
  • If a Game 6 is needed, Fox is obligated to carry the game, which would have prevented it from joining CBS and NBC in running the commercial from the Obama campaign at 8 p.m. The blessing from MLB
clears the way for Fox to collect upward of $1 million in ad revenue for the half hour, more than what either CBS or NBC was charging.
  • Fox Sports declined comment and Major League Baseball didn't have immediate comment."
***KEY ASSUMPTION: BASEBALL'S ANTI TRUST EXEMPTION WILL BE ASSURED UNDER A DEMOCRAT ADMINISTRATION!
  • THAT IS ALWAYS SELIG'S #1 CONCERN.
Also, MLB is on board with any monopolistic, totalitarian grab it can find. (sm) via the Drudge Report
