Future of Marlins big dig may be known by mid-September

The future of an urban redevelopment plan that includes a Marlins stadium still has 2 judge rulings it must survive, the 2nd not expected until mid-September.

• (MLB.com): "The judge has two rulings pending. The one dealing with the claim by Braman's legal team that funding for a new park should be put on a ballot in a referendum.

• That decision isn't expected until the middle of September"...

• And second is..."the contention by Braman that a new ballpark serves no public purpose. The judge's ruling on the public purpose should be made in about two weeks." (End of article)
