THAT GUILLEN'S REPRIEVE WAS MIRACULOUSLY JUST IN TIME TO ALLOW HIM TO APPEAR WITH THE ROYALS AGAINST THE YANKEES.
UNLIKE MOST OTHERS ON THE SO-CALLED MITCHELL REPORT, GUILLEN'S LAST ALLEGED OFFENSE WAS AFTER 1/13/05, THEREFORE NOT PROTECTED BY THE OLD UNION AGREEMENT (which excused such players as Glaus, Schoeneweis, Ankiel, and Byrd).
NOT THAT GUILLEN'S RBI DOUBLE WAS THE ONLY ROYALS "POWER" of the night, THEIR ONLY RUN.
PERHAPS ROYALS' FANS HAVE MORE CHARACTER THAN THE NEW YORK TIMES. THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A DOCUMENTED (ALTHOUGH NOT ADMITTED BY GUILLEN) PURCHASER OF STEROIDS WHO WAS LUCKY TO BE ON THE FIELD AT ALL. HOW COULD ANY HALF-SMART ROYALS FAN SAY ONE WORD ABOUT ANDY PETTITTE WHO DID NEXT TO NOTHING COMPARED TO GUILLEN? AND NOT STEROIDS WHICH INCREASES POWER FOR HITTERS.
Maybe Royals fans aren't hypocrites and deceivers. Maybe Royals fans are the ones with "impeccable integrity."
