Beds in Japan were wicked uncomfortable--overheard on Red Sox radio

In the top of the 2nd, they have Eliott from Jordan's furniture in the booth, talking about a fan contest for furniture. Somehow the subject of bedding came up, and Joe Castiglione notes Jordan's beds have got to be more comfortable than beds in Japan. Joe says they're about 3 inches above the ground.
  • (Please note, Joe said this in a pleasant tone of voice. Please do not fire him for violating the Red Sox/MLB "don't ask--don't tell" policy about travel to the Pacific rim).
I tried to listen more because I like Joe Castiglione and because they had gotten rid of Glenn Geffner. Unfortunately, they've stuck Mr. Castiglione with Geffner's clone--the guy is almost as bad as Geffner. The point is someone in the front office deliberately chooses this type.
  • As with Geffner, he practically talks over Joe, doesn't wait one second after Joe has finished a thought before he booms his big, throaty voice over the calm I felt listening to Castiglione. Also rattles off a list of stats or other dry happenings. Is not a natural talker, should not be on radio, should apply at boardwalks needing barkers.

  • Since you're on the case I'm sure everything will work out. Getting Geffner shipped out was the main thing.
