About Jose Guillen

His friend, Allan H. "Bud" Selig.
- The only reason Guillen is being discussed is he's down for a purchase in June 2005, the cutoff date having been Jan. 13, 2005. He was "discovered" by the Albany DA in the Palm Beach/Signature Pharmacy investigation.
- George Mitchell had absolutely nothing to do with the investigation yielding Guillen's name, credit card bills, social security number, substances ordered, places delivered to, etc.
- Guillen was "suspended on Dec. 6 by commissioner Bud Selig following
- media reports linking (him)
- to performance-enhancing drugs."
- Why?
- Reference, San Francisco Chronicle, "Baseball's Jose Guillen, Matt Williams Bought Steroids from Clinic,"Fainuru-Wada, Williams, 11/6/07
- Somehow, a group of media independent of the commissioner's office must take form. At the moment, truth--or what is perceived to be--is filtered through MLB, Inc. It's a joke. Then you have the major media owners who have attained and use their position to further their own views. Which is all fine, but it doesn't mean you get what's right or true. (sm)
