Hank shows he's the only guy in baseball whose life isn't centered around Selig's approval.

Regarding Hank, Kevin Kernan (NY Post, ESPN, Fox) says:

"I don't want these teams in general to forget who subsidizes a lot of them, and it's the Yankees, the Red Sox, Dodgers, Mets," he said. "I would prefer if teams want to target the Yankees that they at least start giving some of that revenue sharing and luxury tax money back. From an owners point of view, that's my point.""

  • "AN OWNER'S PERSPECTIVE?" HOW ABOUT A HUMAN BEING'S PERSPECTIVE?

All money flows from the fan after all.

  • For one moment in eternity someone (Hank) has the temerity to allude to the truth? Which is that arrogant legalized robbery is taken for granted. (A taboo subject in the world of BBWAA members)...

How about anyone pushing for an accounting of how the hundreds of millions the Yankees have given (at virtual gunpoint) to other teams? That's a normal question outside places like Cuba, Venezuela, and Darfur.
