Comparing Joba to the 1996 Mariano

  • Joba is great and a necessity. Sports talk hosts have big jobs, say a lot of things, and are under the microscope more than for example print reporters. It happens often enough that things become accepted as truth that really aren't true. While it would be nice to find another 1996 Mariano Rivera, no one including Joba has come close to being that. According to Baseball-Reference, the 2 aren't the same pitcher. Hopefully Joba will have the chance to absorb all the multiple innings and get the same results as Rivera did. The chances of this happening are not great.
