I still do no not want Santana
People in the media and in Minnesota want to feel happy and the main way they do that is by picking apart the Yankees. The Santana deal to you means sticking it to the Yankees. That's what it means. It means half a team of good young players leave the Yankees and go to you. And the Yankees get more payroll tax to send to other idiot owners. FORGET IT. YANKEE FANS ARE SICK OF BEING KICKED AROUND.
- We can't afford him. We can't afford a $150,000,000 pitcher we're stuck with for 6 or 7 years and who could break down any minute. The idea a player hasn't spent much time injured means he's about to have something go wrong.
- The Yankees already lose money and are only kept afloat by the YES Network. The Yankees are a minority owner of YES. Other shares of YES are for sale, and it's been reported the new owners will want a say in how games are broadcast. IE-The Yankees and YES are 2 separate things, and the Yankees are subservient to YES for their existence.
- THE FAKE, PHONY, LYING MEDIA--WHO ARE IN CHARGE--HAVE TOLD US HANK IS THE EMOTIONAL ONE, WHO WILDLY OVERSPENDS. EVEN WE CAN SEE THAT. AND THAT BRIAN CASHMAN IS THE BASEBALL GUY.
- HEYMAN, YOU'VE SAID CASHMAN KNOWS MORE (AND HE DOESN'T WANT SANTANA, AS YOU MAY KNOW, per Bill Madden). YET YOU SAY WE HAVE TO GET HIM EVEN THOUGH OUR BASEBALL GUY DOESN'T WANT HIM. YOU INSTRUCT CASHMAN TO LISTEN TO HANK WHO HAS DEMONSTRABLY FEWER BASEBALL SMARTS.
- WHO NEEDS YOUR ADVICE?
- P.S. Thursday, Dec. 20, 12:45PM, just heard part of a replayed interview on XM re the "Report." XM did not put the name of the guest being interviewed on their screen, and host interviewer Jeff Joyce did not identify him over the minutes I was listening. Perhaps he was quickly identified at some point, but normally on radio you intersperse the expert's name frequently throughout the interview. There's almost no point to hearing it if you don't know who's speaking. At any rate, the expert guest said giving names in the way Mitchell did was "mean spirited," which I've heard others say. (The 'bringing peace to Northern Ireland' bit is to put you off your guard). The guest spoke mostly about legal aspects overall. The report was incomplete and mainly a xerox copy of Radomski/McNamee in New York.
- The dramatic outing of selected names, knowing what the slanderous, libelous and ambitious internet media age would do to a few of these names was "mean-spirited" at the least. Interestingly, Paul Byrd and his performance in the 2007 ALDS haven't been attacked. Knowing the damage already done to a select few, much of it slanderous and libelous, to continue it at all at this point is nothing but sheer meanness. I was shocked that Jeff Joyce chose to bring the conversation back to Roger and Andy. Shocked.
