Yes he would, James. Later, I'm going to post another item from Joel Sherman's book about 1996. Rivera set up and closed in some big situations, one of which was when Wetteland was out with an injury. It was a close game v Oakland and Rivera faced MARK MCGWIRE TWICE AND STRUCK HIM OUT BOTH TIMES. Used 59 pitches that day. No quiche I guess that day.
