Whoa, baby--NFL COMMISSIONER: STEROIDS CHEATS GET NO POSTSEASON AWARDS!!! Hello, MLB, Inc.?

Is Allan H. "Bud" Selig in the country for comment? No? He's on the Board of Directors of the Hall of Fame, in case you believed the HOF and MLB were "separate." The NFL's Roger Goodell says he agrees that players suspended for steroids use shouldn't be eligible for awards.
  • WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO TIM KURKJIAN, KEN ROSENTHAL, AND PHINIUS T. BLUSTER of MICKEY MOUSE, 'THE MAGAZINE?' WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO SPEAK TO THEM AGAIN?
But wait---get this--this change would require approval by the NFL PLAYERS' UNION!
  • "NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell supports banning players who are suspended for testing positive for steroids from being eligible for postseason honors.
Goodell said he is “optimistic” such a ban could be in place by next season.

The commissioner said he has had “a lot of discussion” with Gene Upshaw, executive director of the NFL Players Association, on the topic. A change would need to be agreed to by the players' union.

  • A number of players have publicly said they do not think Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman should have been eligible for the Pro Bowl or Defensive Player of the Year honors."
