Jim Kaat is an accomplished pitcher

He says the WBC was a "lose-lose" situation for US players, but a feel-good event for certain sectors in certain countries. Notes neither Dontrelle Willis nor any other US pitcher would be ready for this event at this time of year. He agrees with Boss Orza that having it in November is a cockamamie idea, but says the whole idea is cockamamie. Before you put down Jim Kaat's comments, he's nobody's lackey--you can look it up. He also just received an Emmy for Best Analysis/Commentary in a sportscast. Sorry, he doesn't work for ESPN, all of whose employees are paid to promote the event. His comments were made tonight on the YES Network.

  • I agree with Kaat. Even though I didn't like the thing, I watched it, though.
