Jeff Passan, Kansas City Star on revenue sharing

Following his recent article in the Kansas City Star, Jeff notes, "low payrolls haven't stopped the value of the franchise from doubling since David Glass bought it." McClatchy has had a similar experience with its ownership of the Pirates. (When these profits are realized upon sale, is a percentage sent back to teams that gave them revenue sharing?)These teams need to develop their own players. Glass: "Every dollar received goes into baseball operations." Why doesn't anyone ask him exactly what that means? Answer: Because it keeps this charade going. Says MLB will be making a big, new tv deal after this year, suggesting some want this money to be pooled.
