Barry Axelrod, Jeff Bagwell's agent on XM

Astros appear likely to file insurance claim saying Bagwell unable to play. Question asked why the January 31 insurance deadline? No one knows. Bagwell has always said spring training was a more realistic time frame to assess his abilities. It appears Bagwell will get his salary no matter what. This insurance filing shows the Astros want some money & they don't want Bagwell on the roster. Bagwell's shoulder has been bad for several years with degenerative arthritis. In a later interview with Will Carroll on XM, it's mentioned that the insurance carrier is Lloyds of London.
