More from Scott Boras at the Winter Meetings

Continues on differentiating the center field market from the leadoff market, with Furcal primarily in the leadoff market. He says things often begin at the Winter Meetings rather than ending there. Re: WBC--and this is the only realistic view: "There is risk. It's good for the game but YOU KNOW SOMEONE WILL GET HURT. This is a very competitive level, not spring training." If you've seen a few spring training games, you'll know the difference. Re: Damon, says Rickey Henderson had more stolen bases, but Damon is better than Rickey in other ways. Boras sees the game going away from power hitting, with more emphasis on leadoff hitters, advancing runners, etc.
