Dave Sheinin, Washington Post, from the Winter Meetings on Soriano

The Nationals already have a 2B in Jose Vidro, so where will Soriano play? Dave notes Soriano may make trouble for the Nats, as he won't want to play the outfield. In addition, the Jose Vidro situation isn't that easy. He has a pretty big contract himself, & performance has been declining. The Soriano move may reflect the Nats' frustration at not being able to get other deals they wanted---they felt they had a chance to get AJ Burnett, & still want pitching. Perhaps Soriano will be leverage in that area.
