Andrew Baggerly, Oakland Tribune & World Baseball Classic

Andrew broke the news today that Bonds will play in the World Baseball Classic, & MLB must be happy about this. Andrew says it gives lots of publicity to the event. Then, he steps in it. He said, Charley, "YOU saw the way ESPN covered him last year (2005) ..." they put him on for the slightest little thing he did! Exactly the point. No one cares about this lout. They care about him even less for using his young son to create pity for him. He is a media creation of ESPN. Their editorial judgement is questionable to begin with. Baggarley has it backwards-- Bonds isn't on ESPN because he's so great--- they just elect to clog the airways with this faux news. Most who care about the creep are either Bay area fans or those who have money tied up in his memorabilia.
