Josh Pettitte throws no-hitter in Texas, CC Sabathia tweets congratulations

"He is only a senior at Deer Park (Texas) High School, but young Josh Pettitte has already earned one accomplishment in baseball his dad Andy, in 491 major league starts, has not. Last Friday, in a game against Boerne Champion High, Josh Pettitte struck out 10 batters and gave up no hits in a 9-0 victory.

Josh, a right-hander, kicked off his season by committing to play at Baylor next year, which followed his excellent junior season, when he was 4-0 with a 0.89 earned run average and 32 strikeouts in 23 innings. His start against Boerne, a perennial Texas powerhouse, earned him even more acclaim, particularly on Twitter, where his dad’s Yankees teammates rushed to congratulate him.

Those greetings were joined by more from C.C. Sabathia and Joba Chamberlain.

Josh, the eldest of Pettitte’s four children, had his hands full fielding all the congratulatory notes on his Twitter page, which gives him another leg up on his dad, who apparently has no Twitter page."
