Proposed Minneapolis curfew amid teen mob terror attacks would still allow teens to go to Twins games

"Accompanied by a parent, a teen could be on those streets after 8 p.m.""There have been six mob attacks, in all, since February. Now, police are now wondering if an 8 o’clock curfew keeping anyone 17 and under from two downtown streets will stop the violence. ... A video captured on 6th Street and Nicollet shows how the mob of teens viciously attacks innocent people.... The curfew would allow those 17 and under to come and go from Timberwolves and Twins games and other activities."...

"According to the Minneapolis Police Department, there have been at least six incidents since early February where mobs of young people have randomly assaulted individuals on Nicollet Mall or nearby. The last attack occurred in mid-March.

So now police are proposing a new curfew for teens on Nicollet and also on Hennepin Avenue....

Jordyn Ricard, a teen from Woodbury said, "I think kids could get around that one by walking on different streets."...

McCarty said, accompanied by a parent, a teen could be on those streets after 8 p.m.

He said, "Just like with our regular curfew, if you're with a parent or a responsible adult, you're fine."...
